Ransom Canyon Season 2 returns to Netflix today, leading a six-title Thursday drop

Six titles arrive on Netflix US this Thursday, led by the Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly Texas romance returning for an eight-episode second season that picks up six months after Quinn's New York detour. A Thai action thriller marking Nadech Kugimiya's Netflix debut, the Tokio Hotel twins' reality show back for round three, a Kuwaiti friend-zone rom-com, an Indonesian witchcraft horror, and an award-winning Filipino annulment drama round out the new arrivals, while Saturday Night leaves this weekend.

The pick of the day: Ransom Canyon Season 2

Ransom Canyon is back for its second season today, and it is the drop's only genuine franchise return with a built-in audience. The soapy Texas Hill Country romance, created and showrun by April Blair from Jodi Thomas's novels, lands all eight episodes at once (down from Season 1's ten), streaming from 3 a.m. ET / midnight PT, per Decider and Netflix Life.

Where it picks up. Six months after the Season 1 finale, pianist Quinn O'Grady (Minka Kelly) comes home to Ransom from a stint with the New York Philharmonic, while rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) fights to reclaim the trustee seat at his family's Double K Ranch after his father Sam (Brett Cullen) ousts him. For the existing fanbase and anyone who likes celebrity reality with a brotherly-bond core.
Love in Slow Motion (Netflix Original, Arabic/Kuwaiti). A 1h31m TV-PG romantic comedy from director Elie El Semaan and Eagle Films, their third Arabic rom-com with Netflix, in which Haya (Nour Al Ghandour) realizes she loves her best friend Jawad (Ali Kakooli) just as he announces his engagement to an actress (Noha Nabil). Suzzanna: Witchcraft (catalog add, Indonesian). A 2h15m TV-MA horror film, the latest installment in the Luna Maya-led Suzzanna series, directed by Azhar Kinoi Lubis with Reza Rahadian, about a woman who learns black magic to avenge her father's death and falls for a religious man who does not know her secret. It played Indonesian theaters in March 2026 before this Netflix pickup, per TMDB and Suara.com; early Letterboxd viewers call it campy, old-school, and self-aware. For genre fans who like their horror with ritual and machetes.
UnMarry (catalog add, Filipino).
